Lake Wisconsin fishing report: 09/06/2012

As of late, white bass have been the hot bite, trolling in 7-10’ of water for the most part.  There have been a few walleyes caught but with the high water temperatures they have been tough to locate.  As always, smallmouth bass have been biting in the early mornings and late evenings on top water baits (what a blast!),  while bluegills and crappies have been caught but right now with water temperatures in the high 70s low 80s it has been hit and miss.

Those of us living on the lake are very much looking to cooler water temperatures as we can then count on the walleyes getting  “hot”.  Lake Wisconsin is one of the best walleye lakes in Wisconsin and as soon as the water begins to cool we can count on excellent fishing all the way through November and even in December. Check back often for more fishing reports for Lake Wisconsin and feel free to send us your own fishing reports, pictures, or suggestions for content to add.
